Last Sunday Lipedema Friendly Outfits – August 2022, Fun Things I Tried from the Amazon Try it before you Buy it Program

Try before you buy

Hi there, and welcome now to the end of Summer here in the US.

As you can imagine, making the monthly lipedema friendly outfits can be a bit expensive, so I thought I’d try a new approach this month by using the Amazon Try it Before you Buy It Program.  For the most part, I had enough self-restraint to actually return the items, but in several cases, they got me, and I ended up buying the items.

Here are some of the fun things I tried this month.  What do you think?

First, I thought I’d give these Propet shoes a try.  They fit, but they were too orthopedic looking for what I’m needing and I sent them back.

This Silky Stretch Halter Dress. OK.  They came SO close to getting me on this, because it was so comfy and so pretty.  It was also SO sixty dollars, so I sent it back.  But next year when I’m going on a cruise, I’m buying this.  I LOVE the color, and my mom is mad at me for not buying it.

This Halter Swimdress in pure Wine Red.  I love the styling of the bust part of this top and I also came close to buying this.  But I typically swim for exercise and I have a ton of suits.  This has too much material for me to have to wade through to kick and jump around like I do.  Also, I’d probably end up wearing my Juno swim shorts with it anyway because the length doesn’t provide the coverage I need to feel comfortable in a public setting.  The top is gorgeous though.  Gorgeous.

This Tankini and Capris Swimsuit.  Darn it, they got me.  I can be seen swimming nightly in this in my backyard pool.  $32 and I’ll get a ton of wear out of it.  What are ya gonna do?

And I love this Tommy Hilfiger Jacket.  I almost bought it because of the “band” style (think Sgt. Pepper album cover).  But, this was expensive – I think like $70, and I have three red business jackets, which I don’t wear too much anyway due to a ton of telework these days.  I sadly, sent it back, but I didn’t want to.  I feel proud for this. And now, of course it’s temporarily unavailable so I can’t fix my regrettable decision.

I tried several other things and will keep doing it, as long as I can keep myself under control (!), so we can continue to see neat items that look pretty good on a lipedema affected body.  I’m having a blast!

Until next time, do the best you can with what you have.  We are beautiful people.
