Hi there, I love that the holiday ads are out early this year, so I can spread out my shopping over two months and also have a little left to spend on myself. I wanted to share a couple of things I’ve found that make my life easier.
With lipedema, standing for long periods of time can be a bit of a challenge. Often I see my lippy friends with hair that dried naturally, which is fine, but for me, I’m a frizzy frizzy girl when I don’t take the time to dry my hair. A few years ago, a friend who had broken her arm introduced me to this hair dyer that also gives a little curl and bounce while brushing all at the same time. I own three of them for various locations in the house and in the condo. This hair dryer basically frees up your hand from having to try to balance a brush, and it’s super fast. All of this means less standing still on tiled floors which is better on my legs (maybe yours too?).
Anyway, I bought these when they were $100, so this year’s price is pretty awesome. Let me know what you think!
The other thing I found is this Silicon Scar Sheet. I plan on buying some now to save for my next surgery. The reviews make it sound like using a scar sheet can really improve appearance. I wish I had used these on my upper arms when I had them worked on last November, as the scars almost look like cigarette burns. If you’ve tried the scar tape, let us know in the comments how it worked.
I’ll keep combing the sales to find items that make life with lipedema just a little bit easier and sharing what I find.
