Does your Face Puff Up When You Get a Lipedema Flare? I’m Doing a 30 Day Test to See if I can Un-Puff

puffy face with flares?

Hi friends!

I’ve noticed lately that when I get a lipedema flare up (which to me, looks like significant swelling and nighttime pain, sometimes even with added dislocations in the knee, ankle and hip), that my face also gets puffy.  I started doing some research in medical stuff and learned how the lymph nodes of the face are all laid out and how they drain.

Starting today I’m going to be doing a few-minute morning and night routine of light facial cleansing then massage that opens up the nodes, and then gently pushes stuck lymphatic fluid down to the places where it should drain to the heart.  I made a video of how I’m doing to do this daily in case you wanted to follow along.  I’ll take a snap of my face each morning, and through the magic of TV, I’ll do a part 2 video where we look to see if anything actually changed, or if it’s a waste of time.  I hope you enjoy!

Here are the products I’m testing (I had to pick another Gua Sha tool because I couldn’t find my exact one).  If I decide to add a nightly retinol, I’ll link to it in the part 2 video.  PS.  I have super, super sensitive and acne prone skin.  So if the moisturizer I’m using makes me break out, I’ll let you know as I ditch it from the test.  OK, here we go!
