Introducing you to Another Champion for Lipedema Awareness – Meet Fat Bottom Amy!

Hi friends!

I’ve just spent my morning online visiting with the loveliest lipedema patient named Amy, for her YouTube channel.  (Be watching her channel for my interview). You can tell just from looking at her YouTube Shorts alone, that she’s hilarious and has a fresh take on lipedema content.

If you’re more the listener type, Amy also has her information in podcast form, that I found on audible here —->>>>https://www.amazon.com/Fat-Bottom-Amy/dp/B0C8GNNL1W

A first look at @Fat_Bottom_Amy’s YouTube channel. You know it’s going to be good fun while educational!

Amy is a lipedema patient who’s had five surgeries so far (in Germany), but also who is recovering from a stroke (I didn’t even realize this while we were talking but I learned it while digging through her amazing Instagram page after our visit).  Amy is on a mission, like me, to help other women who have lipedema figure it all out.

When I was asking Amy questions, she’s thinking of putting together information on her sites that connects women in the UK with the providers they should be referred to.  So, for example if a lady lives in London, and visits her GP there to get a diagnosis, she then knows exactly what doctor or specialist to ask to be referred to, because she got the info. from Amy’s site. Absolutely Brilliant!!!

Her Instagram page is full of great information, personal stories, her surgery recoveries, and humor, which I LOVE!  We could all use a laugh or two every day!

The other thing I am really enjoying about her page is that she has some beautiful, colorful and creative outfits that incorporate compression with them.

Colorful and creative outfits are all over her IG page. Photo courtesy of @fat_bottom_amy instagram page.

So if you’re looking for a fresh take on lipedema content and entertainment, or if you’re in the UK and looking for connections of specialists based on where you are, please take a minute and subscribe to all of Amy’s goodies, both on YouTube and Instagram for sure.  You’ll be glad you did!

Have a great day, all, and do what YOU can to help the community today! Yes, that means we need all of you to share your stories because awareness = earlier diagnosis = less or slower progression = more research = more support for us.  It’s a fantastic thing!

Susan
