I’m having so much fun putting together the Fall 2023 looks of Lipedema Friendly Outfits for you. I’m actually going to use this look for two separate posts. One is about the Bad Girl outfit I’m wearing, but this one is about using two simple accessories to create a put-together look and draw the eyes towards other things than your legs.
The idea is to wear a monochrome outfit – you pick the color. In this case, I’m wearing black Czalus leggings, black Walking Cradle loafers, a black faux leather skirt, a black button-down shirt, and a killer black duster. Just a solid black base. I chose strong makeup choices with a hint of pink eyeshadow that I already owned, and a slicked down (as much as my natural curls wanted to give me today) hairdo. The focus is 100% on the accessories here, but that makes the look extremely easy to copy.
I’m wanting to play off of the Barbie craze going on, but without investing a bunch of money in hot pink clothes I may not have already owned. So instead, I’ve gotten a hot pink purse (clearance rack), and a pair of mega sparkly hot pink earrings. When people see what I’ve done, they’ll know I’m making a shout out to Barbie culture for Fall 2023.
The earrings are $14.90 from Amazon, and the purse was from a Kohl’s clearance rack. There are SO MANY other similar ideas for purses that anyone can grab to put on top of an all-black outfit to make their own nod to Barbie couture. No one is even thinking about my lipedema legs when I wear this outfit, they’re just like “OMG. Becky look at that that girl!”
