I’ve owned My BioFlect Leggings for One Hour, and I’m in Love.

I Love This Brand of Compression, Seriously!

I remember going to see the Nutcracker as a kid and having to dress up.  My mom bought me some control top panty hose to wear with a dress to the event.  Not even halfway through the play, my hose rolled down and stopped halfway across my bum.  I sat through the rest of the play in misery as my bum felt like it was being cut in half.  And this began my sordid relationship with compression.

Fast forward nearly 40 years.  I’ve tried all kinds of brands of medical and athletic compression to try and hold lipo-lymphedema at bay, and to aid me when I travel very extensively.  I have owned tights that resembled sweaty rubber band torture devices, thigh highs that cut me and rolled down, or just cut me really deeply, a whole variety of knee highs, pants, and so on.  I knew the minute I started putting the BioFlects on that these were different.  First of all, I’ve experienced no misery.  This is unexplainable given every compression item I’ve ever owned has its own unique brand of misery to go along.  So that’s a good surprise.

Also, these were actually easy to put on in about two minutes.  I just gathered the material at each leg, slipped both feet in and pulled them up.  There was no crying, jumping, tucking, rolling, begging, or deals made with the devil.  After I pulled them up, it was surprisingly easy to make final adjustments and to smooth out wrinkles.  The waistband top touches the bottom of my bra, so my waist is smoothed as well as my legs.

These leggings also have a cute pattern that is making my legs warm and happy-tingly.  And for girls with big legs, owning any patterned tights is a plus because they’re hard to find.  Win for me!  The downside of the pattern is that they whistle when I walk, and my curves rub.

The only other downside is that they were $78.50 for a 4x, but I expect them to last a year, and they’re machine washable.

I think these pants will be great under maxi dresses year-round, great under pants on cold days, and probably too hot for me under pants in the summer.  They’re also thick enough to wear as actual pants with a long bum-covering top.

Overall, great experience so far.  I’m planning to sleep in these and let you all know if anything turned into a tourniquet of doom in the night.  These are so far, just really comfy and supportive, definitely nothing like my Nutcrackers from the fifth-grade play!
