Throwback Thursday – Remembering The Early Post Op Days of My First Lipedema Removal Surgery

Throwback Thursday: Lipedema reduction surgery day 3 post op. I'm crabby and hot (and apparently look like a pirate)

Hi friends!

As I come up on the two-year anniversary of my first lipedema removal surgery, I’m having to go back to my YouTube channel to remember a lot of the details of how I felt during recovery.  It’s actually a good thing.  I know I wasn’t in a lot of pain, but I didn’t remember this video, for example, where I was a grump.

I’ve been sharing my videos to help other ladies who are prepping for or are considering lipedema reduction surgery.  Overall, the biggest thing for me was all the leakage of tumescent fluids and dealing with surgical drains.  I did a lot of resting, and for me, a TON of answering emails from folks who were watching my videos near real time as I posted recovery information.

Here’s a quick video showing how I felt on the third day after surgery and had already moved into a hotel to recover on my own, with check ins at the Doctor’s office. If you are interested in following my videos, please like and subscribe in YouTube. Enjoy!
