Hi friends!
I’m really excited about this month’s lipedema-friendly outfit. I got my inspiration for it from a pic I saw of Diane Keaton, who I think has the greatest fashion sense ever. When I saw the pic, I knew this image would work with compression leggings.
So here’s the original:
Here’s my version:
I totally love how fun this top is. It looks great without the belt too, and hangs really long then.
So here are the pieces and parts:
The TOP: The most important thing is the Swing Dress Shirt Top. See how it hangs low when not belted? This one comes in a lot of fun colors – I almost bought the pink but wanted to stay true to my Diane Keaton look.
The PANTS: For this look, I wore my Bioflect full-length compression leggings in a size 4x (I normally wear a 24W in pants. Sometimes I wear a 3x and sometimes I wear a 4x in compression, depending on whether I’m sitting all day or not). I picked the full length because they go over the heel and would provide better coverage in boots. Ya know, fashion.
The SHOES: This is a David Tate Chelsea model boot. I like his brand because first, it comes up to a size 13WW, then thehttps://amzn.to/3BvhDkL quality of their shoes last for me, it’s wide and deep enough to accommodate my ample foot, even with swelling, has a good size opening. The chelsea style of any boot is great for women with lipedema because it will always feature a significant elastic stretch area on both the left and right sides of the boot, allowing expansion as needed. This boot has some, but not a whole lot of arch support, so it’s great for wearing to work, or not-big-walking days. I wouldn’t wear this on a travel day, but I would wear it on a meeting day. This is my go to shoe in the winter for work, right now.
The BELT: Amazon all the way.
The NECKLACE: So I bought the pendant at Hobby Lobby during one of their half price jewelry parts sales. This is the real one.
I couldn’t find the same one on Amazon. But if I were doing Amazon, I’d pick another really large one like this:
If you enjoyed this post, let me know!
And if you make the outfit yourself, please share a pic and I’ll put it on the site.
