Using Vibration Plates to Shake up that Lymph – A Recommendation It’s Time for Me to Try

Bring on the vibration plate. Adding a layer to my self management of lipedema.

Hi Friends!

While I write a lot of upbeat articles and fun fashion tips, I still am a lipedema patient who needs to aggressively self manage the condition.  I swim as often as I can, use a compression pump, wear compression, do Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and have had surgery. And yes, I still struggle with flareups and swelling. But the longer I am into the lipedema community, the more I see ladies and doctors recommending the use of vibration plates as an extra tool in my arsenal.  I’ve been thinking on it but it’s kind of expensive.

And then yesterday I got an email from Amazon, sharing about a LifePro Vibration plate being on sale (and it even has a used option for $119 – BINGO!).  I’m trying it.

So today I’m going to order the plate and I’ll share some blogs and videos about my experience.  So far, here’s my plan.

  1.  I’m in the Vibration for Fat Disorders Facebook Group.  I’m going to go read the admin’s pinned posts and get caught up on her recommendations.
  2. I spend a ton of time at my desk, writing.  My plan is to just keep it under my desk right next to my foot stools for elevation.  I’ll pull it out for 30 minutes a day and use it without having dedicated time to just vibrate.
  3. I do not think I’ll be a standing on the plate type person.  My knees are bone on bone, needing replacement, and I don’t know how I feel about this.  However, I will ask my Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist about it next week when I see them both.
  4. I’ll measure before and after use to see if I can see anything noticeable from usage each time.

So here’s what I’m buying today – the used version.  It should be in shortly and I’ll get going on whatever kind of fun and chaos ensues!
