First Photo Shoot of LegsLikeMine Lipedema-Friendly Footwear, and Update

Hi friends!  It’s about time!  Here’s an update on the footwear we’ve made for us.  Check it out!

I have the second of three loafer prototypes for footwear designed specifically for ladies with lipedema. These shoes are designed for swelling and feet that are double depth or Full Volume. They’re stable, supportive, and adaptive, and include a second set of removable inserts to make the shoe feel perfect. For the first time in forever, ladies will have an option for footwear that looks mainstream, and will come in fun colors (the first batch will be in black and red – future batches will have purple and prints!). Today I took the standard photography pictures and am learning based on a course on footwear photography given by The Shoe Consultant. I’ll seek her feedback on the settings for the pictures to make sure I’m ready when the order comes in.

This is the photo box I’m using. Kinda cool!

The only difference on this prototype and the final loafers is that the back of the shoe will be shortened by 10 mm to allow more room for ample ankles and potential cuffing, so they don’t rub. Other than that, it’s a go!

Who knew this angle on white is the most common footwear ‘pose’? Now I do!

Be on the lookout now for a crowdfunding option to support this important work, that will be used to pay for the inventory as it comes out of the manufacturer. In the future, we will be doing order, make to order, ship process so that we are environmentally friendly and don’t make a lot of shoes that aren’t intended for specific people. I anticipate that ordering like this will give about a three month wait time, but I will always try to have the basics in the main sizes in a very very small quantity as well. To follow the full journey of the footwear development, visit my site: https://legslikemine.com/category/footwear/. Once they’re up for ordering, I’ll send you the order link as well. There you go!

This is what it looks like inside the photography box before I edit out the background of images of the shoes.
